Job Description : We are currently seeking both Full and Part-Time MedCA-certified Patient Care Technician (PC1). The person in this position is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties in the department as well as supporting patient care delivery via patient supervision and observation. This individual must be alter, empathetic, and attentive to meet significant needs of the patients. Duties include but are not limited to: Helps patients by responding to requests; obtaining needed services from nurses, licensed practical nurses, counselors, physicians, and other personnel. Provides information by answering questions and requests. Conducts urine screens and takes care of the shipments Orders tests and makes appointments, accepts and records lab reports and orders prescriptions Maintains unit operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Maintains patient confidence and protects inpatient operations by keeping information confidential. Assists with changing of bed linens and ensuring that housekeeping is contacted regarding cleaning Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit as well as within other units and departments in order to ensure smooth and efficient flow of information Participate in computer training and assume gradually increasing computer-related responsibilities Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Knowledge of medical terminology Computer proficiency Previous experience in a similar environment or role preferred Excellent wage, benefits, and retirement plan available.
